P-Tronic is adding to its catalogue the 3.0 Twin-Turbo Ecoboost 292 bhp found in the latest generation Ford Ranger Rapor. A new adventure for this pick-up, a cousin of the F150, this time with a petrol engine combined with a 10-speed gearbox that it shares with the famous Bronco Raptor. Taller (thanks to Fox), wider and more robust than ever, this Ford Ranger Raptor is equipped with a tuning box whose multiple connections ensure high-precision engine optimisation. The result is 365 bhp and 592 Nm, a gain of 25% in power and 21% in torque. The performance box also reduces the Raptor's fuel consumption by between 10 and 15%, depending on driving style. Appreciable when you come from 13.8 l/100 km (WLTP). P-Tronic also markets the box for the 397 bhp / 582 Nm version of this same 3.0 V6 Ecoboost, taking it up to 472 bhp and 699 Nm! That said, sales of this unusual version of the Raptor are unlikely to be significant.
