The Renault Laguna range now includes the sporty GT in both saloon and estate versions. Compared to other models within the range, it is physically distinguished by a wide black grill beneath the radiator grill, into which are set black-hooded lights, two side inlets, shiny black exterior mirrors, studded Celsium wheels and smoked rear lights. Sporty touches are also to be found inside, with a three spoke steering wheel, aluminium pedals, bucket seats? Less common, this Renault Laguna is fitted with an Active Drive chassis with all four wheels steering, giving it manoeuvrability, dynamism and precision when driving. Under the bonnet are two powerful blocks: A 205 bhp petrol unit and in particular, a 180 bhp, 400 Nm diesel. This is a blown version of the 2.0 dCi fitted with a variable geometry turbo which gives it better performance at low revs. This version of the Laguna GT reaches 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. |
