The Opel Cascada is a cabriolet whose dimensions (4697 mm long) place it between the Astra and the Insignia. Capable of transporting four persons, it will be fitted with a resistant soft-top with specific acoustic and thermal protection. It will take 17 seconds to open or close the hood, an operation which can be carried out while driving at up to 50 km/h. In the engine compartment of the Cascada, four options have been announced in the first instance: a 2.0 CDTI 170 bhp (allied to an automatic box, or as an option, to a BVA), a 1.4 turbo petrol producing 120 or 140 bhp and a new 1.6 Turbo Ecotec developing 170 bhp. The Opel Cascada will be marketed from the beginning of 2013.
