Mitsubishi L200: P-Tronic to the rescue of 2.2 DI-D

While the latest version of the Mitsubishi L200 is unanimously acclaimed for the qualities of its chassis, particularly in off-road mode, the model suffers from the comparison with its predecessors in terms of its engine. The 2.2 DI-D 150hp clearly lacks breathability. To counter this dowsizing penalty, P-Tronic has developed a performance tuning box whose effectiveness is unanimously appreciated by both L200 owners and Mitsubishi dealers, who are well aware of the problem. This box connects individually to each injector in order to work with optimum precision in redefining the timing and quantities of diesel injected. The result is striking. Once equipped, this Mitsubishi L200 2.2 DI-D increases from 150 to 204 hp and from 400 to 509 Nm. The icing on the cake is that, for equivalent driving, the model equipped with the tuning box consumes 12% less diesel than the original.
