The Ford Galaxy receives a number of styling changes during this facelift. At the front, the grill and bonnet have been modified. Behind, diode lights mark a clear departure from the previous generation. In the cab, the central console evolves a little and finishing moves up a notch. But the main evolution in this Ford monospace involves the engine compartment, where the 1.8 TDCi and 2.2 TDCi are replaced by 2.0 TDCi. Three power levels are on offer: 115, 140 and 163 bhp. These engine options are cleaner and less thirsty. The 163 bhp version, for instance, consumes more than one litre less diesel per 100 km than the previous 2.2 TDCi 175 bhp. As the 2.0 TDCi already figures in the P-Tronic catalogue on other Ford models, the additional box units for this new Galaxy engine are already available. |
