Exhibited at the Paris Motor Show and marketed at the same time, the Citroën C4 II bears witness to a whole new philosophy concerning this model. The previous curves make way for a longer model, approaching the look of the now very much in vogue 4-door coupes. The spring clean has also extended to the cab. The controls are to be found in more traditional locations, a sign that the C4 is coming back into the ranks. The equipment levels and range of options are being extended, however. To get the whole thing moving, Citroën has announced three petrol engines: a 1.4 VTi 95 bhp, a 1.6 VTi 120 bhp and a 1.6 THP 155bhp. Where diesels are concerned, the C4 will still be able to count on the 1.6 HDi in 90 bhp and110 bhp versions. These are models which P-Tronic can equip with a box-unit to be attached to the four injectors for optimal efficiency and precision. The 2.0 HDi will also be in the range in 150 bhp configuration, while two low-consumption e-HDI versions producing 90 and 110 bhp complete the diesel offering. |
