The stylistic evolution of the BMW X3 is very gentle. At the front, the lights are more angular and surmount the small round fog lights. At the back, the lights form a reclining 'T' shape. The changes behind the scenes are more significant. The X3 receives a new chassis and electronic management of the xDrive all-wheel drive along with electro-mechanical assisted steering which adapts to driving speeds. At its launch in November, the X3 will be offered with a petrol xDrive 35i engine and an xDrive 20d. This latter will produce 184 bhp and 380Nm. It will be allied to a 6-speed manual box or, as an option, an 8-speed automatic box. This BMW X3 xDrive20d will be able to be equipped with a P-Tronic additional box unit from launch, providing an extra 27% of power and torque. |
