Infinity is rather like the Lexus of the Renault-Nissan group. The brand wants to establish its name in Europe. This is why it is launching a new V6 turbo-diesel engine. With a displacement of 2993 cc, this V9X has variable geometry and an inter-cooler. It develops 238 bhp and 550 Nm and is allied to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. In the first instance, this engine will be available in the Infinity EX and Infinity FX crossovers. The various versions of the Infinity G saloon will follow. According to tests carried out by the manufacturer, the EX30d accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and the FX30d in 8.3 seconds. The V9X therefore sets out to be high performance. It will also be used in certain models of the Renault and Nissan ranges. |
